With its eye on Atlanta’s art scene, BurnAway has sounded off on its favorite art openings and happenings of 2011. Among the list? gloATL’s Liquid Culture in which flash-mob esque performances unfolded all over Atlanta, and Micah Stansell’s The Water and the Blood, a riff on the ever-popular theme of memory. One of our artists, Craig Dongoski, brought his spectrographic drawings to the WhiteSpace Gallery last spring. In Attack/Decay/Sustain/Release, Dongoski treated his viewers to a live drawing simulation, and paraded his works, whose seismic energy is only paralleled by the San Andreas fault.
